We provide this service at the time of need and also pre-need so you can plan your own funeral in advance to assure all your wishes are with us on file until the time of need.
Whatever your deceased loved ones wishes and however you would like their life to be celebrated and remembered, Fishwicks will work with you to plan their funeral. We offer a flexible service that can take a traditional approach, something simpler or even an unattended funeral service.
Traditional Funeral
For a Traditional Funeral, Fishwicks can visit you at home and make all the necessary arrangements, from coffin, cars and service details to flowers, donations and press notices. Using a local funeral undertaker near you is the obvious choice in this situation to enable home visits.

- Removal of deceased to our chapel of rest (15 mile radius)
- Care of deceased in private chapel of rest until the day of the funeral
- Viewing in chapel of rest at any time (anytime by appointment)
- Making all funeral arrangements
- Organising press notices
- Arrangement of florists, caterers** etc on your behalf
- Provisions of hearse to a local church and cemetery or crematorium
- Supply of staff on the day of the funeral
Simple Funeral
A Simple Funeral is a more straightforward arrangement where we act as the undertaker and the link to the burial ground or crematorium but the family takes on the other arrangements and deals directly with those involved in things like flowers and donations. If someone chooses to plan their own service before they die, then this is often the pre-arranged funeral option.

- Viewing in chapel of rest during office hours (by appointment)
- Making all funeral arrangements
- Hearse to meet at local cemetery or crematorium
- Supply of staff on the day of the funeral
(All floral tributes , press notices, catering etc to be arranged & paid
for by the family)
Unattended/Direct Funeral
In recent years, for all kinds of reasons, many people have chosen an Unattended/Direct Funeral Service for their own or for a family member’s burial or cremation. This is a funeral that is not witnessed by the family or friends of the person who has died but the service takes place privately, handled directly by the funeral director in the same manner it would if family & friends were attending.
